File Transfer Wizard

Just got a new PC with XP Pro. Want to transfer files
such as .doc, .wpd., .xls and graphic files. Will the
File & Settings Transfer Wizard do this? I plan to
reinstall programs and am trying to avoid purchase of 3rd
party file transfer software. Thanx
