File lists appear in blue font - Windows XP Pro

All of a sudden, after a normal update prompted by Microsoft, some but not
all of the files listed in Windows Explorer, or any MS Office program appear
in a blue font. Everything still works fine--I can still open and edit and
save the files--but I wondered if there was some signficance to this new
look.

Curiously, on my other computer running exactly the same software and
versions lists all files in the usual black font.

Is there something I should know about this? Has anyone else experienced
this? Thanks for any help.
