blue font in Windows Explorer

I partitioned an external hard drive and thereafter the font used in Windows
Explorer to display the folders and files in both partitions (including the
partitions themselves) is blue. It's the same bright blue used to display
hidden Windows files like $NtServicePackUninstallIDNMitigationAPIs$.

I would really prefer the usual color for the partitions and their contents.
How to fix?

uncheck "Compress drive to save disk space"

The issue is not simply a matter of what color they are. Blue
indicates that the files and folders are compressed. Unless you want
them to be compressed, uncompress them.

What he said plus, if you do want them compreesed but still don't want them
blue, go to Tools>Folder options>View and uncheck the box that says "Show
encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color".

However, I did not know about the "Show
