File, Favorites, and the Quick Launch disappeared???

Hello,
Hope someone could help me!!!
1. Yesterday I noticed that a lot of [My Documents] folders were empty and
many files in some of the folders are missing. I believe that they are all
different types of files, not one certain type. But all the programs and
OS(XP) seem working fine.
2. Hundreds of my favorites(book marks) on the Internet Explorer are gone.
The Favorites folders are still there, but they are empty, I mean nothing! I
had about a hundred of book-marks, they are all gone!
3. Quick Lauch is gone. I checked the taskbar properties, and the box was
checked. I unchecked, applied, checked again and applied. did not change a
thing....
I believe that all three of these happened at the same time yesterday. Only
thing I did recently was installing and ran Anti-Spyware.
I make a living out of computers. I spent all day yesterday and today, but
no clue, what else could have caused this.

I will appreciate any help!!!
Have a good day!

Don't you have a backup? If not, you should never install a beta or unproven
software.

Hello,
I remembered and searched for one of the links in the Favorites folder.
and found in several places. I checked them each of the folder.
and I found everything under C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL\sysvol
All of my documents were there and Favorites, and Quick Launch short cuts
were there.
I still don't understand how they got moved, but I found them.
Later hopefully somebody would find this helpful.
Thanks!
