Favorites and functionality gone

Hello, after installing MS ASbeta (administrator), none of the regular
(limited) users have access to the Favorites pulldown menu on the IEMenu bar.

Using WindowsExplorer, each user has their favorites still intact. Logging
on as a regular user, opening IE brings up the regular homepage (after some
clicking of "allow" etc). When Favorites Menu button is clicked, the choices
Add to Favorites and Organize Favorites appear, but no Shortcuts or folders
appear(remember, they do still exist). Also clicking on "Add to" or
"Organize" does nothing, (they are not greyed out).

Maybe I missed something in the AS Setup, Settings, or Preferences menues.

Any help out there?

Maybe the User Profile has become corrupted. You could try creating
another one using this method :

Then attempt to import your Favorites again. Hopefully this will be fixed in
beta 2.

The current release only supports the administrator
account that installed the account, your account in this
case. If another person logs into their account, the
app "detects" a change to the system settings and asks
the user if they want to allow or block the change. The
other user click on block, but DID NOT read the warning
message to see what they were really blocking. The
original path listed is the path to your Favorites and
the other path listed is their Favorites.

Using System Restore might correct the problem, but I
wouldn't count on it since System Restore real focus is
on the program data and system files, not personal
settings/preferences. They might have to backup their
files, delete their account, and create a new account.

Another way to coorect this is to find the registry keys that are assoicated
with the current user's Favorites folder. Change the path so that it points
to the correct user account.

BIG NOTE: Only attempt this once you have made a backup of the registry,
otherwise irreprible harm can be made to the system if you make a mistake.
