File Colour Changed In Explorer

L

Leith Friend

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me why some of the the Colours of the
Files Names in Explorer are coloured blue and not black ?

I would be most grateful for any help as I do not know
whether I have a problem. I do not appear to have a Virus
or Spyware according to results of scans.

Do I need to reinstall everything to get rid of the
problem ?

Cheers from NZ

It's not a problem, it's a feature. Normally these blue highlighted
filenames are files that XP has compressed to save disk space.
When you run disk cleanup, and it says that it can save space by
compressing files, that is what it is doing, and the blue filenames
let you know that the files have been compressed.
