fatal "nohup" error

When I try to log onto a secure site, I get the message "A Fatal Error Has
Occurred. Check nohup for error details." No file with "nohup" in its name
appears to be on my computer. I had no problems logging in prior to
installing Windows updates. Present versions after updates:
Windows Ver 5.1(build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519:Service Pack 2)
I. E. Ver 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr:Service Pack 2)
Please let me know if you've experienced this problem and found a way to fix
it.

Your suggestion of placing the site in the list of Trusted Sites seems to
have solved the problem for me. I appreciate your help -- thanks.

Any secure site or just one/some? Have you placed the site in Trusted Sites
zone?
I had no problems logging in prior to installing Windows updates.

Recent Windows Updates (e.g., 896688 [MS05-052])? See
