Fans coming on, not computer.

Sometimes my computer goes to a blue screen stating that Windows had a
catastrophic error and has an error code of 0x0000000A
(0x9DC46240,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x80522C18). The computer freezes up and
when I hit the power button on the computer to turn it off a turbo fan comes
on, pretty strange. What is going on and what do I need to do to stop this
error? It happened again but this time when I turned it all the way off and
then went to turn it back on, only the loud fans would came on, nothing else.
It took about an hour before the computer actually came back on. Is this a
warning that my computer is about to die? It's only 2 years old.

first thing I would try is a good power supply.
If that doesn't work then you have to check each component.

There are many possible causes for this error including faulty/incompatible
hardware, drivers or software.

The fan coming on and the computer not restarting may indicate an
overheating condition too. You should have the computer looked at by a
competent repair shop before it gets worse.
