"Failed to Print" document - yet printer still prints

Help! I have an HP PSC 1610 and Windows XP. Everytime I try to print
something (text, photos, graphs, etc) I constantly get a message that pops up
"Document failed to print..."and yet, the printer keeps on printing ever so
slllloooooollllyyyy. I have done the troubleshooting umpteen times, and
nothing seems to help.

When did this last work correctly? Or did it ever work correctly? If it
worked correctly in the past, what changed? Did you add or remove any
hardware or software? Have you checked all the cables to be sure that they
are securely connected? Have you tried a new cable?

Make sure that you have the latest driver for your printer and Windows XP.
