failed install of sp2

I have tried to install sp2 many times and have failed. Through midstream of
the install a box pops up with "access denied". It then proceeds to remove
the portion that has been loaded.It then says parts of the service pack were
not able to be removed and that XP may not work properly. My computer is then
very, very slow. Do you have any idea what i need to do to successfully load
sp2. Help please. Thank you

get a free cd of sp2 from microsoft takes awhile to get to you but will be
worth the wait if you need to reinstall in the future
