Failed critical installations

I have been unable to install the above. I wonder if this is because I have
the Windows Firewall disactivated.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Peter,

No, it wouldn't be because of the firewall. Look at the Windows update.log
file for an error code to research. This is usually found in the \Windows
directory, click start/run and type:

%windir%\windows update.log

and click ok to view it. You can post back here with the error codes (the
most recent are found near the bottom), or you can look them up here:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/

Ike Fontenot

I have downloaded and installed all four but, they do not appear in Control
Panel Add/Remove. How can they be removed if they are not listed? I have
tried to get copies of the KBs but the knowledge base says no such
documents.

updates".

I have just realized that the log I sent to you privately does NOT include
today's date when the failed installation happened.

So I guess it is of no use to you.
