extract drivers

Is there a way to extract drivers from the win xp disk? I had it loaded and
my scanner with an old isa scsi card worked fine. But then I loaded win
server 2003 and it doesn't have the drivers present, and now my scanner does
not work. I didn't have to supply my own drivers when xp pro was loaded, so
I assume that the drivers exist on the xp pro disk. So is there a was to
extract them off the cd and use them on my server 2003 box. I have ran win
update several times, and it never has any driver updates for me.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I believe you must start the WIA Service first from Admin Tools, Services.
It is not enabled by default because you're using a Server O/S and with
Windows2003, everything unnecessary is disabled by default - which is
exactly as it should be on a Server!

Oh I was so hoping your idea would fix it, but unfortunately not, although
thanks for the suggestion. The real deal is that the OS did not include the
driver in its list (server 2003 that is), and when I go to add the driver,
there are many other new scsi adaptec card drivers there, but not the 1505.
But I know its in xp pro and 2000 pro/server/as (I used to run each OS
(obviously 1 at a time) with this scanner).
So if I could only extract (expand) the drivers, I'd be all set. Someone
must know which files I need, I did find out how to use the expand command
to get drivers out of drivers.cab, but which ones, there are over 3000!

Thanks again
