Explorer crashes & porn pop-ups

Can anyone help explain (or offer an idea on how to
repair) my Internet Explorer problem? There have been
repeated instances where I've been online, closed down,
and when I've tried later to reopen explorer I was forced
to reboot my system. I'm running ME. The pc has become
very slow.

There was even a time where I was shown a window that said
I had a parasite, and offerred me the option to get more
info - but I declined. I wondered afterward if I
should've clicked yes. My Norton Antivirus hasn't found
any indication of a virus, and my Utilities hasn't found a
problem either.

My Explorer problem began this past week at about the same
time I started to get porn pop-ups! How do I get rid of
this!

Also, what is MSBB.EXE? My firewall has been asking if I
should allow it to search the internet - is this harmful?

Any help would be welcome. Thanks

Sounds to me like you got some ad-ware on your system.
You can try to look for it with a program like Ad-Aware.
That's my advice, only because the same thing happened to
me, with a "Trojan-like" assault on my computer. Over 20
different programs were installed on my machine, without
my knowledge, and then they attempted to take over things
like my searching devices and whatnot.

Good luck.

No, don't let MSBB search the net.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
