what type of mobile video card does it have? on my
desktop pc, my Nvidia card had dual monitor support under
the advance menu in display properties (right click on the
desk top and select properties, settings).
there should be two squares, one on the right named 1 and
another on the left named 2. click on each to set it's
screen size and browse the advanced menu for other
options if there are any.

external is set to its max dimisions is there a way to do
