Excel 2007 will not close properly

Almost every time I start Excel and then close it, I get an:

"Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and must close" error.

When I first boot the computer and run excel for the first time, it doesn't
do it, but if I load excel again and close it, the error occurs.

Interesting. I installed a bluetooth driver for my dongle and it added a
"com" addin to excel. When I removed the addin the exiting error vanished.
