Everything is wiped out!

Ahhhhh! I just turned on my computer and my WM account is gone! No trace
that it ever existed....along with all of my emails outbox and inbox. Is
there any way to get it back as WM also stole my emails from my server so I
am left with nothing. :(
Thank you for any help given.

I thought you had switched to WLM?

Which antivirus are you currently using?

No Gary....not yet...the road to hell is paved with good intentions! I did
uninstall McAfee and installed Avast. Everything re: my account is back and
functioning correctly but my emails didn't seem to want to come back with the
restore and much to my dismay..I need some of them.

Make sure the view for the folder you are looking in is configured for
"Show All Messages" rather than "Hide Read Messages".
If all else fails, you can install WLM in the hopes that it will recover
those messages when it imports them.

See if it helps to click on View, then Layout. If there is no check mark
in the box before Folder List, click on this box, then Apply. Click on
OK.

If the toolbar containing View doesn't appear, press the Alt key on your
keyboard.

If Local Folders appears, but not the folders under it, click on the
triangle
to the left of Local Folders.

If the folders appear, but no messages inside them, click on the folder,
then View, then Current View, then Show All Messages.

Ok...Gary, I am not sure of the technical term but I "fiddled" around and
managed to get some of my emails back..most of which were in my
outbox...strange. WLM is now on my short list. Be forewarned, you will
probably see me in WLM discussion. Thanks for the help.

Bob,
Thank you for your suggestion. It was quite helpful. The "you're welcome"
was a "nice" touch.

You're welcome.

If you still want to discuss Windows Live Mail, note that you'll find more
people who use it over in newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

Since Windows Live Mail can run under either Vista or XP SP2,
mention which one you are using when you post there.
