EVENT VIEWER PROBLEM/mmc.exe

Hi Folks!

Anyone have problems with XP Pro's Event Viewer/mmc.exe?

Everytime I go to view a report it will view only one
then stop responding. The error for this when I read it
in the Event properties is...

Category: (101)
Event ID: 1002

Hanging application mmc.exe, version5.1.2600.0, hang
module hungapp. version 0.0.0.0, address Ox00000000.
-----------------------------------------------------

I looked already for the Event ID 1002. There isn't a
description for this error.

So, curious does anyone have an idea here other than
maybe replacing the mmc.exe file.

Hi me again,

I may have fixed the problem by stopping the paging in
the virtual memory, then rebooting, then deleting the
pagefile.sym file and rebooting. Now my event viewer is
working plus , so far not blue screen stop errors either.
