errors when closing IE

I can use IE all I want but as soon as I close it windows tells me that IE
has encountered a problem and needs to close and generates an error message
for me to send. I also get an empty file that opens named about ; Blank-
Microsoft Internet Explorer. I try to close it I get another error message
saying You chose to end the nonresponsive program Internet Explorer and then
generates another error report for me to send and then sometimes I get an
error message saying that Dr. Watson has encountered a problem and needs to
close and you guessed it another error report. I have to go through this
every time I close IE. Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to fix it
please?

Hi,
This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:
The Parasite Fight http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm
More security tips at http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

But... if you don't use a blank startpage, it sounds as if the "about_blank"
hijacker may be involved. This can be difficult to remove. See this thread:

or http://makeashorterlink.com/?X2B132599

Hope this helps,
Don
