I am getting errors in data when copying or moving Large files (xp pro sp1a).
This also happens when archiving large amounts of data using WinRAR etc.
Small files are OK.

I now checksum large files & archives to be sure they copy / archive correctly.

My memory is OK and cannot find anything useful @microsoft or online.

Any suggestions?

You should try running some disk diagnostic software, available from your
hard drive manufacturer's website.

Hi,
I downloaded that latest SeaTools Diagnostic and did a full test from Dos
which said that there were no problems with the Seagate hard drive.
I have tested the memory and other hardware and no errors found either.

When I copy or move large files in Dos or Linux there is no problem at all,
but in Windows XP there are often errors, but Only with files 100'S of MB,
and only when copying large files or moving large files to other partitions.
I have tried re-installing XP but the problem persists.
(Fat32 filesystem)

Regards.

While searching Microsoft.com I noticed that
windows XP embedded had a problem with
copying & moving files over 100MB.
Could this be related maybe?
