Error while burning photos on cd

When I try to copy photos onto a cd it I get to the last 5 seconds of the
writing wizard, & then I get an error message staying "There was an error in
the writing process. The disc you have attempted to write may no longer be
usable." I am confused why it is doing this considering I have copied photos
to cds several times before & have only recently had this problem. Does
anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Thanks so much!

This is possibly caused by any of several things--
Out of buffer space in the PC or the CD writer. "Burn safe" may be turned
off.
Bad CD or writer
Burn software not set correctly for the CD (Capacity, speed, etc.)
Malware or some other resource hog.
Badly Fragmented HD

It may work better if you setup the burn software to first create an image
of the stuff to be put on the CD, and then burn from the image.
