Error when attempting to delete or move files

When I try to delete or move some files/folders I get the
following error message:"Error deleting file or
folder....cannot delete [filename]:it is being used by
another person or program. Close any programs that might
be using the file and try again."

I opened the task manager to see if there were any
applications running that could possibly be using the
files/folders in question, but there are none in use.
Could there be a background application in WinXP that
would be using the files that would keep me from
moving/deleting files? Just a note...most of the files
are 600mb or larger. I did not know if there was a
problem with large files in this situation or not.
Please advise. TIA.

I have the same problem... and I cannot figure out what's
happening. I cheked the Knowledge Base, and it may be
related to an XP Hotfix, but I didn't install that one.
