Error when adding Link Manager Utility

When I went to use the table link manager on one of the computers on the
network I have a message come up to install the link manger component . When
I click on it to install the component an error message pops up " Please
wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 " . A second message
pops up " Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Microsoft
Office 2000 SR-1 Standard. The windoes installer can not continue." I had a
similar message on an other computer when I tried to create a "Page". Both
computer are running on XP with Access 2000. How do I fix this /what is the
problem ?

QSS,

Some wizards are not installed by default. Run Access setup using the
Access disk. Make sure to install 'Advanced Wizards'.

I did try this by re-running the install disk but it made no difference.

You can 't do a 'typical' install. Do a 'custom' install and make sure
'Advanced Wizards' is checked.

When I re installed it did not give me the option of the "Typical" or Custom"
install (which I am familar with ). Maybe I should try a complete uninstall
and then re-install ?
