error when accessing scanner

Got a Microtek E6 scanner. Thing works fine on W98 but W2k dosent see it. Installed new SCSI for this and W2k did a wonderfull job at finding it, but still no scanner. The "scanner is not connected" message. ID on the scanner is set and the card is plu and play. Scanner is not showing up in still image. All the latest drivers belong to me and my pet PC. Any clues?

Did you download the correct W2k drivers from the manufacturer's website?
