error to launch outlook 2007

When I start up outlook 2007 on windows vista, I'm getting a messege that
reads:
"Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe
Vbscript.dll to self register. An error occurred while creating a form."
I read on a previous post that I just need to rename the "frmcache.dat" file
to .old type and that seemed to have solved the problems.
I did find the file but am not able to rename the type or change the type
from ".dat" to ".old".
I'm not very familiar with windows vista yet, can somebody guide me on how
the change or rename the file type?
Thanks.

Your original error message actually indicates exactly what you need to do:
Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe Vbscript.dll to self register
You need to open a command prompt and register that DLL. If you need
instructions how to do that, please let me know.
