error something missing when sending and receiveing email

I have just install office 2002 on my new laptop and when I try and
send/receive email I get an error message say that there is something missing
and function is stop. Tried the detect/repair function and it comes back with
an error 1919 which contains ODBC error 6.

Download an (re)install the latest version of MDAC from the Microsoft
website.
