I entered this problem yesterday and have not had a resouloution, When I
republish my existing website I get an error message--- Write error on file
"/www2/eallen2/30th reunion -2gif tmp". I did as advised and downloaded a
program that cleans out the temp files and cashe. I removed the offending
program and ran the temp removal and cashe removal. Upon re-publishing I get
the same error message with a new photo,. Removal of that results in a new
error messaage specifying a different photo etc. etc. I do not use a
registered photo editing photo but seperately edit my photos using Adobe
Photo Shop. This website has been up and running for a month with minor
problens. The web address is http://home.ec.rr.com/eallen2 Please help me
with this, it has been posted for 24 hrs. with no resouloution. My origional
post and thread were posted 5/19/2005 6:02 PM PST. Thanks for your help

Close FrontPage.
Use the Windows Explorer "Search function" and search your website for files named: thumbs.db
Use the browse feature in search before you start the "Search" and only search your web folder.

If any are found, delete them. Only delete any found "inside" your web.

The run the clean up utility 1 more time to clear the FrontPageTempDir.

Then Open FrontPage, Open your web, do not open or edit any files but simply choose Publish web and
see what happens.

Steve, I did exactly what you suggested and did not find any thumbs.db files
in my web. What do I do now?

but the web is visible now and it wasn't earlier.

Rob - Steve, The web was always visable, I had about 10 visitors since we
began communicating. The origional URLI sent you had a ; rather than a :
following the http, Sorry the print is small and my eyesight aint too good.
I still have the problem , I think tha we're on the wrong track, There are
no thumbs.db contained in the site right now and it wont publish. I removed
three photos completely and re installed them in their orgional locations, I
ran the removal tool, Now I get an error message calling out one of the three
photos.tmp. Do you think removing FP an re-installing might help? Ed Allen

Contact your web host and ask them to run a check on the extensions and/or check the site
permissions.

Thomas, The resolution to this was given to me yesterday by Ronx, I had run
out of disk space on the Road Runner server. It isn't easy to find out how
much space remains on there website. I added 2 megs to the 5 that were there
and all is well. I must say that the error message is the most decieving I
have ever seen in years of troubleshooting. I wasted two days chasing
phantoms. Thanks to Ronx and to you for the numerous solutions you have
given me in the past. Ed Allen
