Publishing a website

Hello
I'm using FrontPage 2002 and am a complete novice.
I've created a website and I want to publish it. I've
clicked on publish web and typed in the the address. It
then gives me an error message saying that a website does
not exist at that address and do I want to create one?.
There is actually one already there. Front Page,
deleted/replavce the website already there, which was
created with a different authoring programme
Should I have created a sub web. Or will publishing this
website using Front Page overtype/replace the one already
there?

Does the remote server have the FP extensions? If not them you have enter
the publishing location as ftp://ftp.domainname.com or whatever you host
provided. If the FP extensions are suppose to be on the site, then you need
to contact your host.
