Error on Page - Script Error

Help...Please!

I am running IE 6 on Windows 98 SE. About a Week ago I started getting the
same "Error on Page" message when opening most pages of most websites I
visited. When I open up the error message details, it appears to be a script
error and the error line says "Server Execution Failed". While there may be
other functions not working on these pages, the only one I can see right now
is that links to windows on the page will not open. For example, when I am
on the afflicted computer, I cannot open up this question window from the
newsgroups home page.

I have tried the following to remedy the problem:

Emptied cache
Deleted history
Turned off script debugging
Turned off showing of all error messages

None of these have worked. If someone is aware of a fix, would you please
help.

The exact error message is always helpful.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start>Run>Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start>Run>Regsvr32 jscript.dll

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
