Using XPMedia, IE7, new HP notebook. I just started getting this Windows
error message: "Not enough server storage is available to process this
command" when I try to view the shared files of the other computer on my
2-computer wireless network. I have no idea what this means, even after
reading an article on this by Microsoft (confusing to me). Everything worked
yesterday, but I am now apparently not networked.

Could someone tell me the step-by-step fix for this? Thanks in advance,

I already answered this in your first post. Please be patient and don't
make another post about the same question only a little while apart. To
save time, here is the answer:

From MVP Hans-Georg Michna:

This error indicates that you are falling foul of the IRPStackSize bug.
The problem is on the machine you are attempting to connect to, not the
machine where you see the error message. On the computer you are
attempting to connect to, check the event viewer for an event ID 2011.

Usual fix : You need to fix a parameter called IRPStackSize

On the computer you are attempting to connect to, Set the IRPStackSize
back to the default (15 ). Perform the following steps:

1. Start regedit.
2. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters.
3. Double-click IRPStackSize (or if this registry setting doesn't
exist, create it with type DWORD and ensure the case is correct).
4. Change the base to decimal, set the value to 15, and click OK.
5. Reboot the computer.

Norton AV is usual suspect for breaking it. There's a KB article about

I have been trying to figure this out for (2) weeks. You are the best! I
hadn't recently installed Norton, but I suspect and update may have killed
it. I have been running this same home network for (5) years and it quit
working on April 14th. I really appreciate your help.
