Error message

Michael

Every time I go into Outlook Express, I get the following message appearing:

Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details.

Following on below:

The Host HTTP could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server's name correctly. Account: HTTP Server HTTP. Protocol POP3. Port 110. Secure: (SSL.) Number Socket Error 11001. Error Number: 0x800CCC0D.

I have tried stopping this from showing by going to Tools, Options for example. So far I have been unsuccessful.

Please could you help try to resolve this issue so that this 'pop up' no longer appears each time I go into Outlook Express.

Thanks

Michael

You should correct it in Tools-Accounts, using the server information
supplied by your ISP.

Tools-Accounts in rectifying this issue?

Thanks

Michael

I can't unless you supply the details that your ISP provides to set up
an account in OE, but it should be simple for you to do.

Start with Tools-Accounts the Mail tab.
Highlight the account you are having trouble with, select Properties
and check that the detail on the Servers tab matches your ISP-supplied
details.
Get back here for a second opinion but please supply all details of
what you have entered on the Servers tab.

I somehow managed to rectify this issue. To obtain a better understanding
on how Outlook Express works, I have contacted my ISP, AOL for a second
opinion with the same issues and, awaiting a reply from them to this effect.

Thanks just the same for your help.
