error message in a small box: OLMAPI32.dll

Outlook beta was working fine, then one day failed to launch. After running
detect and repair a few times, I uninstalled and reinstalled just Outlook -
but alas- the whole suite uninstalled, so I reinstalled. Outlook still does
not launch ("Failure to Launch"?) and all I get is this little box in the
middle of the desktop with "Error: MAPI32.dll. When I click ok, I get the
send error box. I do and get a link to something about Adobe Acrobat, but I
do not have Acrobat installed on my computer.

Please help

Does Outlook still run in safe mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
