Error message - Entry Point Not Found

N

nodak457

When I try to open Outlook 2000 (Vista OS) it always opens the Outlook
2000 Startup dialog box, as if startup never completed. Then I get the
message "The procedure entry point StrTokEx could not be located in
the dynamic link library MSOERT2.dll.

I've tried to uninstall Outlook but it doesn't appear in Control Panel/
Programs or in Windows Install Cleanup. I've tried both the reinstall
and the repair. Any advice please?

Thanks in advance.

See if this article explains things:

OL2002: Error Messages After You Install Windows 2000 SP-3 (The procedure
entry point StrTokEx could not be located in the dynamiclink library
MSOERT2.dll.)

Outlook 2000 is not compatible with Vista.
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/vista.htm

This error is due to an Outlook Express .DLL file which doesn't exist in
Windows Vista. You may be able to uninstall Outlook by running Setup from
the Install disk and selecting "Remove All".
