Just installed XP Pro (brand new) on a re-built computer.
Install OK but when I try to log-on from the "Welcome"
screen I get the message "A problem is preventing Windows
from accurately checking the license for this computer.
Error code 0x80070002", and am put back at the welcome
screen. Product installed OK, with product key as it should
do - Help??

Thanks for your pointer, but I tried that previous to
writing this thread. Don't think the hard drive was
previously in a Dell machine, but re-formatted it anyway.
Also tried the moves suggested in the link, but they do not
solve the problem either. Any more ideas anyone?
