Error message displayed after installation of Norton 360 and removal of 3
Trojans and worm. All of them were critical problems. If you get this
error message, it is the residue of the removal of the Trojans or worm. You
will have to remove it from your registry.
I received these directions from "Elmo" Thank you Elmo . . . you are a
computer saver.
Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click ok. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of th file in the search pane. Click "Find Next," and when
located, export it to the desk top to be safe, just in case you have to
restore the file. Then delete it from the registry. Hit "Find Next" again
until no files are found. Reboot, and if no error messages, delete file from
desktop.
One other note; Symantec wanted $99.95 to remove the error.
