I have downloaded the latest Microsoft Antispyware today, and tried to
install it on my Win XP Pro - Sp2. But during the installation i get :

Microsoft AntiSpyware Installer Information Error 1904. Module
c:\ProgramFiles\MicrosfotAntiSpyware\gcAntiSpywareLibrary.dll failed to
register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.

error two same string except: gcASPrivacyLib.dll
error three same except: gcASSopaLib.dll
error four: gcTCPobjLib.dll
error five: gcASThreatAudit
error six: gcSoftwareUpdateLib

When i try to run the program after instalation, it says : "unexpected
error; quitting".

I will appreciate it if somebody can help me on this. Thank you.

Hello Paul,

First, check that you are trying the installation from an account with
Administrator privileges.
Next, check your Windows installation to see if it is corrupted in any way.
You could for instance try running the command: sfc /scannow Is there any
possibility that you might already be infected with malware?

Go to control panel "add/remove programs and uninstall MSAS

Open Windows Explorer and go to Program Files/ Microsoft Antispyware
delete all folders.

Delete in Windows/System 32 the following 5 files
Existing files. For your info, there are at least five system32 files >>>
that are not uninstalled: GCCollection.dll, gcTypLibA.tbl, >>>
gcUnCompress.dll and hashlib.dll. gcAntiSpywareLib.dll

Download CCleaner www.ccleaner.com, clean both files and issues.

Download Windows Defender again, do NOT run it, save the setup file to
desktop.

After downloading start setup again

Let us know how it works ºut.

Dear Engel,

Thank you for responding.
I have tried your suggestion, but it still gave the same respond like before.
Any other ways to try? Thank you.
