Error Code 1311

On some programmes that I want to install I get this
message."Error 1311.source file not found:Hffice1.cab.
verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
The workround I have found is to copy the contents of the
CD to the hard drive and install the programme from there.
Have you any idea what is causing this and what I can do
to rectify this?

There is also a registry value you might want to check.

I had a problem similiar to this. The fix I was told was
as follows,
HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/WindowsNT/CurrentVer
sion/WinLogon/AllocateCDRoms 0 (thats zero) If the value
is 1 change it to zero. That should resolve this problem.
I run XP Pro SP1.
