After rebotting my machine after a lockup I get the
following message:

A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking
the license for this computer. Error code: 0x80070002

I did a search on the microsoft knowledge base and found
information on this issue in issue # 310794. I don't
however had the registry keys that are mentioned when
explaining how to reset the default security provider. I
have a dell laptop and the drive letter settings set in
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Defaults\Provider
appear to be correct. Does anyone have any further
suggestion for this issue?

Thanks

Thank you for the reply.
I attempted to do a windows repair by booting from the
cd. When trying this I get about halfway thru the
installation when my machine blue screens. I should
mention that the install I am using is a version that my
company has a site wide licence for. Thus the anti-piracy
aspect has been turned off.I'm not sure if that would have
any impact on fixing this issue or not.
