Error 432: unInstallShield

Every time I try to install an ap, I get an error
msg: "Setup has detected that unInstallShield is in use.
Please close unInstallShield and restart setup."

I do not see any application with anything that even
resembles that in the Windows Task Mgr. Also checked
Administrative Tools/Services and found nothing running.

There is nothing in Help files (big surprise) and nothing
in any Knowledge Base article that refers to this Error.

Anyone know how to close unInstallShield??

I am running Win2K SP4.
