Erroneous XML: View source doesn't work

I am getting a false XML from an ASP page (since an error message is
generated by the server), and trying to view it from IE. When I click 'view
source', it says:
The XML source is unavailable for viewing.

Netscape shows the false xml as text with no problem, so it's not that the
file cannot be read or something.

Is there a way to view the source of an unparsable XML file in IE?

Is it cached in the TIF? Use the TIF viewer (Alt-T,O,Alt-S,V).
Find the file in there, e.g. view Details, sort by Last Accessed
(Alt-V,D Alt-V,I,Last Accessed) and then drag it to a Notepad window.
