Epson Smart Panel does not recognize TWAIN 1.25A

How can I use the TWAIN 1.25A driver with Epson Smart Panel 2.5A?
The scanner is an Epson 2400 Perfection.
I followed already the recommendations given in the thread with the same
name started by Cindy.
Any suggestion is welcome.

As I just posted for another user, you might look at the www.newsoftinc.com
site. They wrote these buggy programs for Epson. Go to the support area
and you will find a registry cleaning tool and other tips.
