Epson Smart Panel 3.5 Mac for Epson perfection 1250

I have recently become a Mac user running Tiger 10.4.11. I have an
Epson Perfection 1250 but the software disk that came with it only has
the Epson Smart Panel for OS9. From the Epson Support site I got the
Twain Driver + Scan Utility 2.77A so that I can use the 1250 on Tiger,
works perfectly. However, there is no free download of the Smart Panel
3.5 for Tiger, you now have to pay for it from the NewSoft website. Is
there anyway of getting a free copy of the Epson Smart Panel 3.5 Mac,
that I could just install. The free Twain Driver from Epson
accomplishes most of what I want from the scanner, just thought it
might be nice to have the Smart Panel to complete the functionality.
