The process eogskv.exe runs continuosly up to 99% of cpu
time on my MS Win XP system. I am running MS Antispam sw
and Norton 2005 virus protection and neither report this
process. What is it and how do I get rid of it.

Hi Rob

This appears to be a random filename so I cannot say what
it is but uploading the file at a virus scan site will
give you some details

Goto these sites and see if they give a infected warning

http://virusscan.jotti.org/

http://www.virustotal.com

If they show its clean it still may be a problem file and
a new variant but most times it will show if it is
infected. Let us know the results if you need more help
with this

Have you tried using tools, advanced tools, system explorers, to see whether
you can spot this process and stop it? Checking the startup and service
entries for anything unknown or out of the usual would be in order as well.

If this is what I think it is it will not be easy to
remove.

When I had a progam doing the same thing, every time I
will kill it with task manager it would restart it self.

Can you kill it have have it stay gone from memory?

Yes--it could easily be nail/aurora--with random names, you can't tell 'til
you start looking futher.
