Encrypted web-sites won't load

Any sites that encrypt info for bank accounts or online
orders, etc won't open - says the page can't be
displayed. Any ideas how to fix this? Is it a settings
problem?

This just happened out of the blue a week ago. Used to
work fine. Rest of the internet has no problems, only
those certain encrypted sites.

I am having what sounds like the same problem - certain
sites will no longer allow me to log on, as of 2 days
ago, even though I have 128-bit security. Every time I
try, it sits and thinks for awhile, and eventually gives
me the standard Page Not Found thing.

I've tried deleting all the various temp stuff (cookies,
files, etc), renaming my hosts file, checking (and
unchecking) various security protocols...nothing seems to
work on either of the 2 computers hooked up to my
router. Haven't been able to try elsewhere. Any ideas
on what might be causing this?
