Enabling WebDAV read/write access in IE

Hi,

I have a WebDAV-enabled folder in my server (Tomcat 4.1.18).

Whenever I try to open an Excel file through a Web Folder, it works OK, I
mean, I receive a file and have read/write access to it. After I modify the
file this is updated in the remote server.

However -and this is my problem-, when I try to open the Excel file inside
IE6 (as an URL), I only receive a read-only file.

How can I change this behavior?

When you open Office files within IE, you are using a limited version of the Office program in question - sort of as if you were using just a "viewer". To get full functionality, you'll have to set IE to open said file in the full Office program.
