Empty Temporary Internet Files Setting Doesn't work when logging o

I have noticed that the Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is
closed, works when all browser instances are closed but does not work if I
log off and allow the log off process to close the windows. Is this a known
issue?

Hi Tony :)

I have not heard of this problem, but, perhaps someone else has. However,
when IE is shut down properly prior to logging off some program functions
which are programmed to correspond with the normal closure process may not
to work properly. It is not really a good idea to shut it down in such an
abrupt manner as a matter of course. The fact that it works properly when
you close it down prior to logging off seems to verify this.

Hope this helps.

Thank you all. I suspect what is happening is that when using log off before
closing all the windows, the order in which the windows are closed will
affect file locking on the TIF. In many cases, the IE windows may be closed
before other applications that have locks to the TIF. In this case the
folders won't be emptied.
