Empty "Temporary Internet Files" on Exit doesn't work

Hi Everybody,
on our 600 XP client machines

Empty "Temporary Internet Files" on Exit

doesn't work. I've already read MS KB article 814782 and
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/deltifonexit.htm. I have disabled the antivirus
software and the "Temporary Internet Files" are not located on a share.

Has anybody got an idea?

Best regards

Hi,
I've tried Process Explorer, but I can't see anything noticeable. I've also
tried Filemon to see if there is a forbidden file access to TIF. But there is
none. I can't realize a difference in Filemon when exiting IE with option
"Empty..." enabled or disabled.

Regards
Holger

Hi,
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/deltifonexit.htm is IMO the definitive page on
this problem. Have you run through the troubleshooting process with Process
Explorer- now available at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/ProcessExplorer.mspx
?

Hope this helps,
Don
