" emails in shared mailboxesUnbolding"

We have 3 common (shared) mailboxes that are continually accessed by 4 staff.

Previously, under Windows 2000, as soon as any one staff member opened an
email it was immediately “unbolded†on the other 3 PCs and the other users
were aware that someone had accessed the email.

Now, using Outlook 2003 and Windows XP professional, all email messages
remain “bolded†for a period of at least one minute (the lowest time setting
we could find).

Of course this is now very annoying as we are constantly calling across the
room “has anyone actioned the email from…..â€

Hi Diane and thanks for your prompt response :)

Our IT folks (residing in another city) advised me that we are using cached
mode.

On their instructions, I "unticked" the cache option.

Once I have got my fellow team members to do the same, we will be able to
see if this has resolved our issue.
