Emails are deleting on their own---what's going on???

Why is it my emails are deleting automatically when they are marked as read?
It doesn't matter if it's set to mark as read after so many seconds have
passed or whether it's set to mark as read after I'm done reading it. In
either case once it changes to read (unbold) the message is deleted
permanently. It is not in the deleted folder.

I've NEVER come across this problem. Can anyone help??

Thanks,
Chris

They are probably NOT deleting - you probably are viewing a filtered view.
Turn on the Advanced Toolbar and you will always be able to see what view
you are looking at - in the Current View Window.

I guess you're in the view called Unread Messages. So as soon as one is
Marked Read, it hides it.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
