Editing/Saving Attachments Inside Outlook

We have a user that primarily works out of Outlook. When he recieves
attachments, he edits them, saves them, then saves the email they were
attached to. Surprisingly, he has been working like this without any issue
for many years.

We are now seeing intermittent file/save errors stating that the file is in
use by another source.

Just wanted to see if anyone has run into this before.

Version of Outlook? Do you have all the updates installed? I'm seeing this
occasionally with Outlook 2007 SP2/Feb CU.
