Editing POS-Device Properties in Configuration.xml

Hi,

I'm trying to write a simple Application for Printing on a Receipt
Printer form Epson.
When I use the SetupPOS - Application from Epson the Device is setup
correct in Configuration.xml.

But now I want to configure it without executing the Epson-App.

1. Is it necessary to add all these Properties to the
Configuration.xml to comunicate with the Printer?

2. If yes, where do I get these Properites and its Values from?
